New York Armory Antiques Show
Don't confuse the New York Armory Antiques Show for basically an indoor flea market. Antique dealers from all over the country convene in Manhattan in late January in hopes of selling priceless artifacts to lucrative buyers. Items include Folk Art, Native American, Colonial, Medieval, Renaissance, and Impressionist pieces. There are also ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman artifacts that can be purchased as well.
Even if you are looking to buy, the show is open to the general public looking to get a glimpse of what's for sale. The event is held over 10 days at the Seventh Regent Amory in the Upper East Side is opened daily from noon - 8 p.m.
