The mayhem and madness of New Year's Eve at Times Square is over. Many tourists return home, making the city, at least for a little while, somewhat calmer than most months. Some consider this the best time to travel to New York. The holidays are over and frigid temperatures keep many away so many top attractions are relatively easy to manage since the crowds have disappeared.
