Lesbian and Gay Pride Parade
Started a year after the infamous Stonewall riots as a civil rights demonstration, the Lesbian and Gay Pride Parade is celebration what it is to lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender in America. There is nothing straight about this event, not event the parade route, which makes a few sharp turns here and there.
Held in late June, the parade starts at noon and stops for a moment of silence at 2 p.m. no matter if the parade hasn't finished.
