Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
You've watched every Thanksgiving Day from the comfort of your living room. How about seeing it live? The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is seen by millions across the nation on their television sets. But if you are in New York during the holidays, there is nothing like seeing those immense balloons along the parade route.
Floats, balloons, dancers and marching bands entertain spectators who come out despite the chilly weather in November. The parade starts at 77th Street and Central Park West. At Columbus Circle in turns on to Broadway and then turns on 34th Street, just past Macy's at Herald Square where is ends at 7th Avenue.
Parade starts a 9 a.m. and ends at noon, but people start lining up as early as 6:30 a.m., so get their early for a good spot. Remember to dress warm, as New York in November can be quite cold.
