New Year's Eve Celebration

Probably the quintessential New Year's Eve celebration, millions watch the crystal ball drop in Times Square live and from the comfort of their own homes. Over a million gather at Times Square alone, making it one loud celebration.

The ball slowly descends from a flagpole at One Times Square as million harmously countdown the year coming to an end. About a ton of confetti drops on revelers who braved the cold temperatures to celebrate the New Year. Remember, the earlier you arrive the better the view you'll have, but don't fret, if you get there late, there are video screens setup throughout the area.

The event is free and open to the public. Backpacks and bags are not permitted in the area and you must cross through a security checkpoint in order to enter the area.
