Shakespeare in the Park
Beginning in June and running until September, Shakespeare in the Park lures thousands of New Yorkers and visitors to Central Park to watch some of Shakespeare's classic plays in the open air. A season usually consists of two plays.
Tickets are free (two per person) and can be picked up the day of the performance start at 1 p.m. at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park or at the Public Theater, at 425 Lafayette St. Vouchers for tickets are also distributed in different areas in New York's four other boroughs. They can be redeemed for a ticket the day of a play, but it is not guaranteed.
