Concerts, stand-up comedy, poetry reading, film and dance events all free to the public. Almost too good to be true, but that is what happens in Central Park when SummerStage takes over. For over 20 years, the event has been providing New Yorkers and visitors alike a great way to past the time during those infamous New York summers. While most shows are free, some suggest a donation and others charge for tickets to benefit the SummerStage program. Ticket prices are fairly valued, making it very affordable to everyone.

Past performers include the Strokes, Indigo Girls, the Killers, Gnarls Barkley, Fiona Apple and Bonnie Raitt.
