Check-in was efficient, but the first room we were given (despite being on the 14th floor) was so noisy that we got no sleep whatsoever the first night. We were moved (full marks to the hotel for that!) but the second room didn't have an ironing board or shower curtain. The ironing board was providing within an hour, but after ve an ironing board or shower curtain. The ironing board was providing within an hour, but after 3 nights, and repeated requests, the shower curtain never materialised.
The decor was pretty tatty, and it took at least 5 minutes of tinkering to get the temperature of the shower water right - even then, the temperature kept suddenly changing so you'd get blasts of cold, then scalding hot water - NOT impressive!!
The hotel location is very good; staff are generally friendly in a laid-back manner, which is fine. This is a only 3.5* hotel so you cant expect 5* luxury or service. However, not providing a shower curtain despite repeated requests is a very poor show.

This was my second visit to the Roosevelt and from the upgrade offered by the very helpful reception team on check-in to the room cleanliness standards to the fantastic location, I will definitely use the Roosevelt on my next visit.

Great location and good facilities. Have recommended it to lots of people and they have enjoyed it. It was recommended to us by friends and family who had stayed there previously. I would definitely stay there again if I'm back in NYC. The roof top Mojito bar is a must!!
