Central Park Guide from New York Hotels

The ticket to this zoo will get you in for free to the Tisch Children's Zoo situated nearby. The Central Park carousal is one of the many treasures to be found here. Made of hand carved and hand painted horses, this carousal was placed in the park in 1951 and is beautifully restored. It is simple, old fashioned and is adored by kids of all ages.

If you are interested in seeing original works by Rembrandt, Whistler, Vermeer and El Greco, walk down to the nearby Frick Collection (212-288-0700), where you can find these on permanent display.
